PROTECTING THE RIGHTS OF ADDICTS
Medical professionals know that drug and alcohol addicts suffer from a very serious condition. For many addicts, treatment and professional assistance is required before they can recover. I am an experienced criminal defense attorney dedicated to helping people who face addiction challenges. In addition to providing strategic defense in court, I will help them explore appropriate resources for recovery.

I have experience involving:

∙ DUI /DWI Offenses
∙ Drug Related Offenses

Sentencing Options in Larimer County

Drug Court: Larimer County is unique in that there are two courts that focus on rehabilitation. For people who are addicted to drugs and alcohol and who WANT to seek help, there may be alternative sentencing options. In Drug Court, the judge will get to know you, assess how you are doing in counseling and work with a team to facilitate a successful completion of the program. The purpose of Drug Court is to provide structure, encouragement and immediate consequences for defendants. By staying actively involved, the Drug Court program prevents people from slipping through the cracks of the system and holds them accountable to change.

DUI Court: Larimer County also has a DUI Court. The program is designed to help problem drinkers with multiple DUI convictions successfully address their addiction to alcohol. Through a program similar to the drug court described above, the judge and other personnel personally monitor defendants as they work through the system.

My Commitment To You

I know that my clients can get very anxious at the time of sentencing. I will take the time to answer your questions and remain available throughout the duration of your case. I will take the time to review all relevant evidence, review police reports, consult with witnesses and experts and explore every option and alternative to help you on the road to recovery. If a problem arises, you can trust that I will communicate with you directly and remain open and honest about the prospects of your case.
